About

The Glasgow Environmental Monitoring of Indoor and Outdoor Air, (GEMINOA) project is a collaborative project between the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Science Centre and SmartSTEMs funded by ICLEI Europe Action Fund 2.0.

The project expands the University of Strathclyde collaboration with the BEACO2N network of air quality sensors developed at the University California Berkley, measuring CO2, CO, NOx, PM2.5, and PM10 levels across the city of Glasgow. In partnership with University California Berkeley the project will investigate the complex outdoor and indoor air quality. A central component of the project is showing how data can be used to support public engagement. Throughout the project we will be engaging with secondary schools across the city on air quality metrics and environmental and economic policy.
